Privacy Policy

Tweet to Markdown ("the extension") converts X/Twitter posts into Markdown. This page explains what data the extension collects, why, and how it's used.
What we collect
- Account email and password — used to create your account and let you sign in. Passwords are handled entirely by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us in plain text.
- Usage counters — how many conversions you've used, and your current plan, so the free-tier limit and subscription plans can be enforced.
- Subscription/billing status — whether you have an active subscription, which plan, and when it renews. Payment details (card numbers, etc.) are handled entirely by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy — we never see or store them.
What we don't collect
- We do not store the content of the posts you convert. Conversion happens entirely in your browser; only your account/usage status is checked against our server for each conversion.
- We do not track your browsing activity outside of x.com and twitter.com, and only on pages where you actively use the extension.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Why the extension needs these permissions
- x.com / twitter.com page access — to read the post/thread content you ask it to convert.
- Downloads — to save the Markdown (and optional screenshot zip) file to your computer when you click Save.
- Clipboard — to copy the converted Markdown when you click "Copy to clipboard."
- Storage — to keep you signed in between sessions and temporarily hold a preview before you save it.
- Notifications — to tell you if the keyboard shortcut couldn't complete (e.g. you're signed out or out of conversions).
Third-party services we use
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and usage data.
- Lemon Squeezy — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.
Data deletion
To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we'll remove your account record, usage history, and any active subscription will be cancelled.
